Insulation
Fiberglass Batt Insulation (Unfaced)
Unfaced fiberglass batts for framed walls and joist bays. Proper cut‑and‑fit around wiring/plumbing is critical to maintain R‑value.
Good Pairings
- Smart vapour retarders where appropriate
- Exterior continuous insulation for thermal bridging
- AeroBarrier® envelope sealing for reduced ACH50
Blow‑In Insulation
We use CertainTeed Northern White™ Fiberglass Blowing Insulation exclusively for open attics and ceilings. It's non‑combustible, non‑corrosive, odor‑free, and does not settle or absorb moisture. Manufactured from a combined minimum of 65% recycled glass, it installs cleanly with consistent coverage.

Why We Use Fiberglass
- Maintains R‑value: Fiberglass stays fluffy and doesn’t settle like cellulose.
- Moisture resistant: Won’t absorb water or support mold growth.
- Fire safe: Naturally non‑combustible—no chemical fire retardants required.
- Cleaner installation: Less dust, faster cleanup, better air quality.
- Long‑lasting: Won’t rot, decay, or deteriorate; pest‑resistant.
Common Cellulose Drawbacks
- Settling & sagging: Compacts over time, reducing depth and R‑value.
- Moisture absorption: Paper‑based; can hold moisture and encourage mold.
- Dusty installation: More airborne dust and debris during application.
- Chemical additives: Requires borates and other treatments.
- Inconsistent coverage: Can bridge/clump around wiring and framing.
Add‑On Services
- Attic ventilation checks
- Air sealing at top plates/penetrations
- Blower‑door verification
